Following the lockdown, each one of us is having a healthy home-made intake to protect ourselves from Corona. Let’s consider taking one more pledge towards protecting our skin. Cleansing, toning, scrubbing and moisturizing are some of the basic and mandatory steps towards doing the same, no matter the skin type. I know, I myself never knew so much terms about skincare but now.
Anyway, while we follow some of the basic skincare regimes, exfoliating is ignored by the majority of females. Not only the time-consumption, but inability of choosing the ideal scrub cream, results people giving up. Considering which here I am sharing some of the natural and home-made face scrub for each skin type person. But first let’s talk about the benefits linked with exfoliating.
Exfoliating or scrubbing as we call it, is one of the important steps for skincare working towards removing the dead skin cells. Usually, the skin does that task on its own, but at times, it won’t. So, make sure to not miss out on applying this step further. Piling up the dead skin cells would do nothing, but make your skin seem, dull and dry.
Don’t worry for I am not going to stuff you up with an unexamined list of recipes. The home-made face scrub listed below are shared by a very-talented and well-experienced cosmexpert and certainly, my dear friend, Priyanka Chaudhary! So, let’s get going. Shall we?
A. Honey, Turmeric and Rice Flour Face Scrub – Normal to dry Skin.
Ingredients:
- Take 1 tsp Honey
- 1 tsp rice flour
- & a Pinch of turmeric
Now, mix the ingredients well & apply the pack for 5 minutes. Then, start scrubbing your face gently for 8 to 10 minutes and rinse it off. Not to forget, the scrub is specifically meant for people with normal to dry skin types.
B. Coffee, Lemon juice and Sugar Scrub – Oily to Normal Skin.
Before we discuss the process further, Sugar, one of the ingredients in this home-made face scrub, is considered unsuitable for face. But is it? Well, no! Sugar can be harsh at times, but only for the dry skin types. Please note, that applying a Lemon juice and Sugar over dry skin results it being bone dry.
Also, the scrub discussed here is precisely meant for the oily to normal skin type people. Now, grab the ingredients.
- Take 1 tsp sugar (white or brown)
- 1 tsp lemon juice

Start the process by mixing the ingredients well. This mixture would need scrubbing as soon as you apply it on face. Keep it going for 8 to 10 minutes and then rinse it off. You’d be amazed to know that the scrub also turns out to be an excellent detan!
C. Oats, honey & Cucumber Juice Face Scrub – Dry to Normal Skin.
Ingredients:
- Take 1 tsp oats
- 1tsp honey
- & a half tsp of cucumber juice
Mix the ingredients well and apply it on face. In this case, you’ve got to wait for 5mins (or until semi-dry) to start scrubbing. Gently massage in circular motion for 8 to 10mins & rinse with normal water. You can also consider using aloevera gel as cucumber juice substitute, for if you are half as lazy as myself.
D. Turmeric, Milk Cream & Gram Flour Scrub – Very Dry Skin.
Just so you know, I’ll give you this recipe for all skin types. All you’ve got to do is make minor changes. Let’s start with discussing the original set of ingredients.
